Bear’s Paw Cafe

The restaurant industry is a tough one to compete in. Yet, in spite of this, Dave Jorgenson and Cheryl Macarthy have managed to create a stand-out eating establishment in the small town of Wells. In fact, its reputation even draws patrons in from other communities... no small feat for a restaurant that's off the beaten path, so to speak.

However, Dave and Cheryl never doubted their ability to make delicious food that people would love to eat. They started the Bear's Paw Cafe in 1997 and have been going strong ever since. In fact, they have managed to develop a strong reputation for their business and the quality of the food that they serve, so much so that they sometimes get requests to open the restaurant during off-hours to accommodate visitors to the area, and they are always happy to oblige. In fact, they are devoted to their customers, both visiting and their Wells friends and neighbours. For them, developing relationships is what their business is really all about.

While their business tends to be brisker in the summer months, it is the Wells winters that Cheryl and Dave really look forward to each year. Winter time in Wells is "amazing and deep and quiet and accessible and both snowy and sunny at the same time" says Cheryl. It was the natural beauty of the area and, particularly, the mountains, that drew the couple here in the first place. Whenever they have the chance, whether summer or winter, they like to get out and spend time in the mountains.
