For more than twenty years Don Diego’s has been serving world-class, international style cuisine and keeping it fresh with a menu that changes daily. Favourites like barbecue ribs and chicken enchiladas are almost always available, along with tempting and tantalizing specials like hand-made pineapple salas that beckon you to come back again and see what else is new. Don Diego’s menu includes an extensive selection of original recipe, made-from-scratch desserts that incorporate fresh, contemporary ingredients. Don Diego’s is Terrace’s favourite place to celebrate special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and other milestone events. Make sure you toast it with a glass of wine, cocktail or daily drink special from the Don Diego’s bar. Walk-ins welcome but reservations are recommended.

Meet Franco Zhou & Sophia Fan
Franco Zhou immigrated to Canada as a young adult. He attended culinary school on Vancouver Island and bought his first restaurant in Port Alberni a few years later. His next business venture would take him to Kitimat where he purchased a new restaurant in 2014, and then he and his wife, Sophia Fan, bought Don Diego's in 2015. Together they operate both Don Diego's and their Kitimat restaurant. Between the two restaurants, life is very busy for the couple, and so they rely heavily on their key staff Laura Holubowski (Kitchen Manager) and Kennedy Badge ( Front of House) pictured here.
Franco is passionate about great food. He loves to cook, although he doesn't get to do as much of it as he once did. Instead, he spends more of his time managing the restaurant and purchasing supplies. Even so, he works closely with his chefs to keep the menu fresh and exciting (the restaurant offers different specials every day) and to ensure that quality is always of the highest priority when it comes to the food they serve.
Franco and Sophia found Terrace to be a very welcoming and supportive community when they arrived in 2015. Franco is deeply appreciative of his local customers who are always quick to express their gratitude for good service and food and to recommend Don Diego's to out-of-town visitors.
