Meet Rhonda Burnett
Rhonda Burnett is one of those lucky people who found her passion and turned it into a viable business. With a lifelong interest in rocks and a background in geology, Rhonda knew working for a mining company wasn't where her heart belonged. She yearned for something more, something that gave her a sense of purpose.
The avid rock hound felt a deep-rooted connection to mother nature and the beauty so readily available in her community. With her love of honouring the majestic wilderness, Rhonda followed her entrepreneurial desires, which led her to the creation of her very own precious stone company. Love of Rocks was born in 2009 and has made a lasting impression with rock lovers everywhere.
Rhonda is a busy mother of two who enjoys getting back to basics in as many ways as possible. She regularly tends to her garden and produces countless preserves to nourish her family over the winter months. Living in the Bulkley Valley has supported her need for interpersonal connections, as the community is renowned for its cohesiveness. “I love the community that forms by living in the North,” shares the entrepreneur. “We can all support each other and keep our northern communities alive and vibrant.”
