Run by the Stewart Historical Society, the Museum has been a vibrant part of the community since it opened in 1976. A diverse collection, open for interpretive walk through, research, and genealogy tracing, your visit to the museum is sure to be educational and exciting! 

With a rich mining culture, the museum prides itself in the preservation of the history and memories of the community. The Stewart Museum is also a wonderful place to begin your journey in the town. It also houses the Museum’s Gift Shop, the perfect place to find something to commemorate your trip to the town, or bring home for friends!

Meet Shirley Rosichuk

Museum Director, Shirley Rosichuk is passionate about presenting the past, present and future visions of her community to visitors and locals alike!
When she's not busy working in the collections, Shirley loves to enjoy the breathtaking views that Stewart provides, through hiking and fishing.

Her passion for small business is ignited through her work both in the Museum Gift Shop and the Historical Society itself. She values the strength and vitality that small business brings to her community and is constantly striving to bring that passion forward into her work of preserving the rich history and memories of Stewart.
