Meet Theresa Michelle Mohr

Music has always been a big part of Theresa Michelle Mohr's life, and she has always gotten a special thrill from performing. In fact, she always dreamed of performing professionally, and finally decided to take the plunge head on into musical performance a few years ago. Theresa says, "It was now or never, so I decided to just go for it!" Since that time she has performed regularly in venues throughout the Bulkley Valley and northern BC. She loves to write her own music, but also does covers of other artists' songs, and she almost always accompanies herself on the guitar.

Theresa has lived in the Bulkley Valley since 1998 and hopes that the Valley will always be her home base. She notes that she has a strong support system and deep roots in Smithers which has made starting her performance business easier thanks to her many local connections. Theresa also teaches guitar and gets a strong sense of satisfaction from inspiring a love for music in her students. She teaches a variety of guitar styles and tries to go with whatever kind of music her students are most interested in, which helps to keep them enthusiastic and engaged. She enjoys watching her students' blossom and develop their skills.

Besides her family and her music, Theresa has two other big passions: the outdoors and her dog. When she isn't busy performing or teaching she likes to get out and enjoy all that the area has to offer in the way of recreation. She spends a lot of time walking with her dog, and also likes to go hiking, camping and skiing in the winter time.
