Alpenhorn Bistro & Bar

For Alexander Hillebrand & Jeremy Roth, buying the Alpenhorn Bistro and Bar in 2009 was the fulfillment of a dream of business ownership within the hospitality industry. Since that time, the two have put in a great deal of time and effort, including researching and hand-picking the restaurant's wine selection, to make the business a destination for both locals and visitors. Jeremy notes that, "Everyday is a learning experience, and no two days are ever the same."

Alexander and Jeremy are outdoors lovers who appreciate Smithers living for its closeness to nature and variety of outdoor recreational activities. The spectacular mountain views add to the quality of life in Smithers, and they've worked hard to incorporate those amazing views into their restaurant's guest experience. When they're not working, the two enjoy skiing in the winter and hiking (they especially recommend the Twin Falls nature hike) and canoeing Lake Kathlyn in the non-winter months.

Alexander and Jeremy feel that Smithers is rich with culture and has a vibrant arts community. Unique and diverse shopping add to the town's character and charm and they regularly enjoy sampling the products and services of other local businesses. But best of all are the friendly, caring people that make up the community of Smithers. Alexander and Jeremy enjoy getting to know people who come into the restaurant, and they deeply appreciate their support of the business.
