Meet Tara Dias
Meet Tara Dias
Tara Dias is an artist with a background in early childhood education. She wanted to combine her two passions into a business and to make a city-style art studio concept available for people in Prince Rupert. She started Happy Little Clouds Art Studio in 2015, a place where people of all ages can come and feel safe and free to explore their own creativity. Though she teaches budding artists of all ages, she especially enjoys working with young children, who are uninhibited and have an innate sense of creativity. Whatever their ages, Tara loves to see the smiles on her students' faces when they discover something new or create something they're proud of.
Tara has always found the community of Prince Rupert to be very welcoming and the people friendly and down-to-earth. She also found a great deal of support when she was making plans to start her art studio, both from individual community members and from the city itself. She appreciates the atmosphere of supporting local businesses and believes that support is evident in the quality of small businesses that operate here, including some of her personal favourites like Posh Pirates, Little Anchors, Fishkin Fabrics, The Argosy, Cowpuccinos and many others.
When Tara is not busy teaching art to others, she is often busy creating art of her own, either in the studio or at home. She has shown some of her artwork locally at Cowpuccino's, the Ice House Gallery and the Fresh Onion. Also dominating her time outside of work is her family. She always loves spending time with her children.
