Meet Jacquie Clarke
Meet Jacquie Clarke
Jacquie Clarke began her career in fashion in 1977. It was born out of her interest in fashion, and a desire to bring Prince George women's clothing that was well-made, comfortable, practical and beautiful. Jacquie also knew that many women struggled to find clothing that worked for their lifestyle, so she launched her first business out of her home, offering style consulting, personalized shopping and wardrobe building services.
She ran her home-based business for 35 years until she became so busy she felt like she was spending all of her time in her basement. Her business had outgrown her home, and she knew it was time to expand to a retail location. She opened her downtown boutique in 2012. Though her business now has a more formal location, Jacquie is still committed to offering the same kind of personalized service she had been known for before. In fact, working closely with her customers is what energizes her. "I love that I can get to know my clients and become friends with them and provide them with exactly what they need and, most of all, what will make them happy."
Jacquie was born and raised in Prince George. She went on to raise her own family here, and she is very connected to the community. She is fond of Prince George's beautiful winters, and her favourite way to enjoy a crisp winter day is to go cross-country skiing. In fact, Jacquie is an avid outdoors person all year round. She kayaks Purden Lake in the summer and also likes to spend time mountain biking on Prince George's many wonderful trails. Jacquie is also a new grandma, and these days she likes to spend as much of her free time as possible with her grandchildren.
