Masset Market
The Masset Market is a collective of Haida Gwaii growers, bakers and makers. We are a hardy group of vendors who brave the elements to offer our wares year-round, and are joined from spring through fall by additional and diverse growers, makers and artisans. Locally grown and prepared foods including vegetables, eggs, cheese, jams, preserves, baking and treats can be found year-round; cut flowers, mushrooms and berries are available in season. Locally handcrafted items include soap and body products; jewelry; knitted, painted, felted and beach combed treasures.
Delicious hot lunches are a new staple feature at the market, along with spontaneous offerings of sushi and Crab Rangoon. Masset Market is located on Main St across from the credit union, and runs every Friday from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. (Some vendors stay a while beyond 2:00 pm, so it’s worth a look after hours!) New and drop in vendors always welcome!

Make it, bake it, grow it
The Masset Market was born in 2013 to offer locally produced goods to residents and visitors to the North Island. Since its first season, Masset Market has attracted thousands of visitors and has grown into a stable and diverse group of vendors.
By supporting local food security, sustainability and the local economy, Masset Market reflects the values of our community and the people who call Haida Gwaii and Masset home. We thank our hosts, the Village of Masset and staff for their dedicated and ongoing support, and the Graham Island Farmer’s Institute for their collaborative assistance to all our island markets.
