Meet Kevin Paul Seguin
Kevin Paul has churned out many years working in various industries and living in different communities within Ontario. All that time there was always something missing. A place to call his own; a place that provided adventure and a sense of 'home'.
In 2018 Kevin made the trip from Ontario to Haida Gwaii to visit a lifelong childhood friend. He instantly fell in love with Daajing Giids and the surrounding area. “It was like home but everything was a lot bigger!” exclaimed Kevin. “It's a great blend of small town community within a truly beautiful part of Canada.”
It was after this visit that Kevin decided to give up his career as a mechanical engineer and move out to the island community, working for himself as an emerging entrepreneur. He purchased an existing accommodation business in March of 2018, eager to fix it up with his own personal touches.
Much of Kevin's hobbies include building projects and working with his hands, making it difficult for the accommodation owner to differentiate between work and pleasure. He also loves exploring the endless outdoor recreational opportunities, with fly-fishing topping his list of musts. Though Kevin isn't the first to admit that “outside of the natural beauty of the island, the people are truly what make Haida Gwaii the best.”
