Meet Diane Hopkins

In Diane Hopkins' experience, small towns provide a more enriching lifestyle because relationships develop naturally and business is more personal. It's one of the reasons that she chose the 100 Mile House region to live and the Lone Butte area to start her restaurant. Here, her customers are her friends and neighbours, and Diane feels privileged and fulfilled to serve them every day.

It is Diane's plan to create a future for herself her which includes retirement. She intentionally chose this location because of its natural beauty and the peacefulness of the surroundings. Running her restaurant is her way of securing that future, and she deeply appreciates not just the personal fulfilment but also the sense of independence that owning her own business gives her. She also enjoys the creative aspect that comes with it.... being able to experiment with different foods and recipes and to produce delicious food from scratch. While there are many challenges to operating a business, Diane embraces those challenges wholeheartedly, knowing that they make her work gratifying.

Diane is an outdoors enthusiast, and this is another reason she was so drawn to this area. When she isn't at the cafe, she likes to spend time in Lone Butte's amazing outdoors. Her favourite ways to connect with nature include hitting the local trails and doing some ATVing and sledding in the winter time.
