The Pearkes Centre
The Pearkes Centre is Hudson’s Hope’s largest and most diverse rental facility, perfectly suited for hosting a variety of events and functions. The Pearkes Centre offers several different rooms ideal for meetings, performing arts, trade shows, workshops, seminars, family reunions and wedding receptions. A boardroom style room is also available and outfitted with WiFi, projector and screen.
There is even a small galley kitchen available for rental to meet your food preparation needs. Rooms may be rented for as little as one hour. The Pearkes Centre is home to several local businesses, and more monthly office space is available. The Pearkes Centre offers affordable rates and support so that you can plan and execute a successful meeting, function or event. Special, reduced rates available for non-profit organizations.

Meet Patricia Markin
Trying to throw a big party, family reunion or wedding reception or hold a corporate event or meeting in a small town can be a challenge. Patricia Markin realized this years ago and saw it as a business opportunity as well as a way to fill a service gap and meet an important need in Hudson's Hope. Since starting the Pearkes Centre in 2004, she has been able to play a small part in hundreds of local special events by providing space to make those events successful and memorable.
In addition to the satisfaction of meeting a local need and offering something that previously did not exist in Hudson's Hope, Patricia also loves the sense of freedom that comes with owning one's own business. She is grateful for the ability to be able to make business decisions and tailor services based on the needs of the people that she serves.
Patricia appreciates her small community and its friendly atmosphere and casual pace. She sees how residents care for each other and take pride in the community in little ways, like keeping it clean. She notes that, though it has seen its share of difficult times, its small business owners have persevered and played a big role in giving Hudson's Hope its character. One of her favourite local businesses is On the Rim.
