Helen Rosium has been a valued member of the Kispiox Valley for over 30 years. The north is her home and it is where she belongs. She is fond of the close-knit community and how safe she feels among her neighbours. “It’s a great place to live,” beams Helen.
Helen is retired and enjoys a slower pace of life with her husband at her side. Together they have five adult children, many grandchildren and countless great-grandchildren. Helen feels blessed to be surrounded by so much love, both with her family and her community. She gets outside for brisk walks with fellow retirees every day, rain or shine.
If you’re new to the Hazeltons or even just passing through, Helen recommends visiting the historic site in Old Town for a true taste of First Nations history. While there, take a stroll along the river, it's breathtaking - you'll be glad you did!
