Meet Friends of the QC Visitor Centre

The Queen Charlotte Visitor Centre is operated by The Friends of the QC Visitor Centre (FVIC), a non-profit society whose goal is to promote the Daajing Giids area and increase tourism. The society was established in 2003 and is governed by a board of directors made up of volunteers who are professionals and actively involved within the community of Daajing Giids and area. All are passionate about Daajing Giids and Haida Gwaii in general and all of its recreational and cultural opportunities, as well as its businesses that work hard to serve both locals and visitors to the islands.

The Queen Charlotte Visitor Centre works diligently to make the Centre an engaging place for visitors by offering both static and interactive displays as well as comprehensive information about the area. Information is delivered in the form of displays, printed media (brochures and books) and through its trained and certified Visitor Information Counselors. Friendly staff enjoy meeting visitors from all over the world and are enthusiastic about the place where they live and about sharing information that will enhance a visitor's Haida Gwaii experience.
