Meet Shaelan Pomeroy

Fort St. John is near and dear to Shaelan Pomeroy’s heart. She and her husband both grew up in the community, and are proud to be raising their three children in the same, wonderful environment. The Pomeroys are blessed to have much of their extended family living in town as well, extending that strong and cohesive bond among their fellow residents. “I love living in a small town, and enjoy all it has to offer,” beams Shaelan. “I can’t imagine raising my children anywhere else.”

Shaelan became an entrepreneur in order to contribute to her community. She noticed a need to support local artisans, and felt compelled to share their craft. Local makers have truly appreciated the opportunity provided to them by The Artisan Farmhouse, and the support from the greater community has exceeded Shaelan’s expectations as well. The shop local mentality is certainly on the minds of many Fort St. John residents, and the sentiment has helped to bring success to many small businesses in the area.

With new endeavors popping up all the time, Shaelan is optimistic about the future economic growth of her beloved hometown. There’s nothing but potential, and this entrepreneur hopes to do her part; not only through her business, but as an avid SPCA volunteer and supporter of many community events and fundraisers. “I love being able to contribute and help make our community unique!” says Shaelan.
