Meet Julie Roach & Kailey Odermatt

Meet Julie Roach & Kailey Odermatt

This mother and daughter business duo decided to become business owners to carve out their own destiny. They believe that owning their own business provides a positive opportunity not only to make a living, but to provide a great work environment for their employees. Being the owners also means freedom, the freedom to go above and beyond with customer service and with the extent of their support for local charities and events. These two are proud Fort St. John ‘lifers’ and are proud to be providing exceptional customer service to their friends, colleagues and neighbours.

Julie and Kailey love shopping locally. Three of their favourite Fort St. John businesses are This and That, Dunvegan Gardens and Teddy Boy Country Ware.” They are grateful for the high community involvement in Fort St John and say it is home to some of the friendliest people around. Julie sees this as a product of the whole community being connected to each other in one way or another.

They are also grateful for the outdoor opportunities offered in the Fort St. John region.
“We are surrounded by such beautiful scenery here; there are so many lakes and rivers and we appreciate the ability to have active lifestyle opportunities,” says Julie. "I like Hiking, camping, fishing, photography, art and soccer. Kailey participates in hockey, Roller Derby, softball, camping and hiking.”

This pair admits that they have noticed many great changes around town such as the buildings that have been recently completed with exceptionally beautiful results. They agree that it is more important than ever to support local businesses. They recognize that small businesses are the backbone of the Canadian economy and see this to be especially true for the Fort St John area.
