Deb’s Accidental Art

Arts

Deb’s scans her original artwork and creates unique and custom products featuring her designs. Her art is featured on photo cards, plaques, framed pieces, cotton totes, coaster sets, bookmarks and notebooks. Deb likes to think of her art as “usable art” with her customers enjoying her art while using their mugs or their cotton totes. She prides herself on creating gorgeous and affordable art. “I’m really proud that I’ve made art affordable for people, I want to spread my artwork around so that lots of people can enjoy it,” said Deb.

She sells her art through her home-based business and also at local markets and seasonal fairs. Other small business in Fort St. John have her work displayed on their walls The Artisan Farmhouse and Peace Gallery North in the NP Cultural Centre.

Deb loves to share the Zentangle ® Method of art with others and teaches in her home and online as well.

Meet Deb Bowyer

Deb has lived in Fort St. John all her life and she loves the energetic feeling of her hometown. She sees lots of opportunity in her community especially when people really get behind something they are truly interested in. Deb started her own business, Deb's Accidental Art, in 2015 and is using her creative side. "I'm doing something I love and I think it shows in my art," said Deb.

Most of Deb's art is in the Zentangle® style and she likes to work with encaustic wax. Deb has received her Certified Zentangle Teacher status and looks forward to teaching community members this unique and satisfying art style. The Zentangle® method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. It was created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. "Zentangle" is a registered trademark of Zentangle, Inc. To learn more about the art of Zentangle®, visit www.zentangle.com.

When she is not creating art or mastering new mediums, Deb enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband and appreciates the flexible work days that come with a home-based business.
