Meet Merlin Naylor
Merlin is a born and bred Haida Gwaii resident. This coastal expert knows a thing or two about the area and loves sharing his local knowledge with his guests. He spends much of his free time on adventures with his young son, exploring every nook and cranny of the islands. The two like to volunteer regularly at the Living and Learning School, like many of the community members who invest so much to the greater good of their town.
It's what makes Haida Gwaii so exceptionally wonderful. “There is a lot of kindness and help from friends and neighbours here,” says Merlin. This father and entrepreneur marvels in the life he has available to him on the islands. From the access to outdoor explorations to the creative opportunities abound, Haida Gwaii is a place unlike any other.
Merlin prides himself on the sustainability mentality that many in the area possess. Nature-friendly alternatives are available for many local industries.
