Higher Ground Natural Foods
Heidi Read says her venture into business ownership came about “organically”. She was a young mother looking for a career opportunity that was flexible enough to work around her young family. Her interest in healthy living made Higher Ground Natural Foods a “natural” fit for her. She has been in business on Birch Avenue since 1996. Since then, the store has grown, flourished, supported and has been supported by the community of 100 Mile House. Her family has grown and moved on but she and her husband still live in town and she still loves her job! Heidi states “I love the relationships that have developed over the years and always enjoy the fun and laughter of my staff and customers.”
Higher Ground Natural Foods carries extensive lines of products and options for people for their homes, bodies and families. Guests will find premium brands such as Natural Factors, Assured Natural Distribution, Bioforce, Prairie Naturals, New Roots, AOR and more. Supplements, organic foods, health and beauty, zero waste products, household cleaning, organic bulk, funky gifts and healthy snacks line the shelves. The store also has many local products.
Please ask in store about the bi-weekly organic produce bin service that has been running for over 15 years! A fresh, organic bin full of fruit and vegetables ready for you to pick up with your bi-weekly sign up.
