Dr. Katie DeGroot, ND
Naturopathy is the foundation to improving one’s being, inside and out. The alternative practice takes into account the whole picture of health and wellness, instead of focusing on merely the external symptoms. Naturopathic medicine pairs up harmoniously with conventional, mainstream medicine, leaving patients feeling empowered and in charge of their own health.
Dr. Katie DeGroot, ND, is a Naturopathic Doctor who practices out of the Integrated Elements Wellness Clinic in both Williams Lake and 100 Mile House. She is also an expert in the impact that food has on our health, as she holds a Master’s of Science in Nutrition in addition to her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine.
Dr. DeGroot offers many different services, including but not limited to lab work, food sensitivity testing, hormone testing, nutritional advice, supplements and so much more! Meet Katie DeGroot
Katie DeGroot truly appreciates what small town life in BC’s north is all about. She spent many years shacked up in tiny, concrete urban sprawls while studying her way through med school, with much less than a house plant of greenery to look at. In 2017 she relocated to the Chilcotin Cariboo area, instantly falling in love with the lush, green surroundings. She finally had space of her own, and all the fresh air her heart desired.
According to Katie, 100 Mile House is a perfectly sized town with a wonderful community. It's been easy to fall in love with the rolling hills, the picturesque lakes in the vicinity, and the weather just can’t be beat! She loves the myriad of independent stores- each one uniquely enticing in its own way.
Her own home is located in Lac La Hache, a convenient location between her two practices in Williams Lake and 100 Mile House. Katie loves all the recreational opportunities, especially the many lakes in the area. Her spare time is often spent kayaking, hiking or photographing local flora species. She also volunteers with the Lac La Hache Fire Department and St. John’s Ambulance whenever possible. “It feels like home here!” beams Katie.
