Meet Julie Hoddinott
Having spent time living and working in numerous rural communities, Julie is now happy to call Smithers home. With a strong passion for recreation in the mountains, Julie affectionately refers to Smithers as an outdoor mecca with easy access to summits whilst surrounded by wonderful people.
“You are able to connect with people so easily here,” she says. “It's a progressive little town with a vibrant business community and such open minded, friendly people.”
Julie is proud to offer services tailored for a small community while still providing cutting edge technology to her clients. Furthermore, her business allows her to make a difference in the community, stimulating positive change.
Julie has over 10 years of experience in the construction industry which started at a young age with hands-on experience and progressed to a university degree in architecture in 2009. Julie has, since then, developed a versatile architectural background through several years of experience working in both architecture and engineering firms as well as a design-build outlet.
Julie enjoys every aspect of her career. Collaborating with clients, creative thinking, executing construction drawings and seeing designs through to completion are what make this entrepreneur tick. She readily admits that her favourite aspect of The Designery is the diversity of work that she finds herself involved in.
