Knowing that customers are quick to share their positive experiences with a service provider helps to motivate her to continually offer high-quality service and attention to her clients.

Of course, the small community also fosters easy, natural relationships, and this is a part of Prince Rupert living that Leanne deeply appreciates. "There is a sense of community, a sense of family" she says, and that makes for a quality of living that is hard to beat. It has helped her family put down roots and feel secure and established. Plus, Prince Rupert offers affordable living and close proximity to services, amenities and nature.

Like many local small business owners, Leanne is looking with anticipation toward what the future holds in terms of new industry coming to the northwest. Naturally that will present some challenges, but also great potential for growth in the small business sector. Ultimately, this will benefit everyone, especially if small businesses are able to work together. She notes that there are already many high-quality businesses here (her favourites include The Wheelhouse Brewing Co., Eddie's News Stand, Fukasaku Sushi, Occasions to Remember and The Fresh Onion), many of which she has partnered with on events, that positively contribute to Prince Rupert's livability and viability.
